Surfing
For over two decades Lanzarote has attracted surfers with powerful consistent surf and prevailing offshore winds. Lanzarote provides surfers with a huge array of options depending on what you like. Everything from short sucky barrels, to long point breaks, to mellow beach breaks - they are all on offer.
The best waves are found in the North of the island with both coasts boasting a selection of classic reefs and beach breaks. With a little exploration a wealth of hidden spots are also on offer, although a 4x4 is often advisable for the more adventureous trips. A short boat ride from the town of Orzola is Graciosa, a beautiful island just of the North coast and it's here that classic uncrowded conditions can be found.
