Introduction

Finca Malvasia features four apartments set around a central pool, three sleeping up to four guests and the fourth, the bodega, set to the side as a cosy hideaway for two. The setting is secluded, with a backdrop of volcanic mountains and lush vineyards providing the grapes for the island's award winning Bermejo wine. Lanzarote's Arrecife airport is only 7km away, with the stunning 6km stretch of beach at Famara only a 10 minute drive away.

Built in the style of the island's famous designer, César Manrique and true to traditional Canarian architecture, the apartments are white rendered volcanic stone with some dramatic exposed stone interior walls and gardens.

Finca Malvasia is contemporary in design with that rustic twist which Manrique was renowned for; moulded sofas and cabinets set into the walls, locally handcrafted Canarian pots and vases filled with bougainvillea. The focal point is the large 'lagoon style' solar heated swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens and a grand three metre central barbeque, mirroring that of of César Manrique.

Rooms are whitewashed, with the injection of colour made through the use of vibrant Marrimeko design wall hangings and bed throws. Bathrooms are volcanic stone, with large walk in showers. One apartment has a deep raised bathtub, set next to a lush indoor garden. King size comfy beds with crisp Egyptian cotton linens, waffle robes and fluffy towels, give the apartments a luxurious feel.

All apartments have private outdoor terraces, perfect for dining or sun lounging, with views out to the pool, or the vineyards and dramatic Timanfaya Mountains beyond. Kitchens are well equipped and an honesty bar, welcome hamper, satellite TV, and well stocked DVD, CD and book library, means that guests have everything they need within their own slice of Lanzarote.
